At First Foyer, we partner with pastors and churches to help them experience seasons of growth, renewal, and health. Our team brings decades of experience in bi-vocational ministry, pastoral health and rhythms, bylaw restructuring, and multiple church plants and mergers.

We offer:

Merger Mediation – Our team brings extensive experience walking with churches through the complexities of merging. We’ve seen healthy mergers that brought new life, and we’ve seen ones that struggled. The difference usually comes down to clarity and communication on the front end. Having a neutral third-party guide the process can help both churches discern fit, align expectations, and build trust before taking the next step.
Comprehensive Church Assessments – We offer a thorough process—including Zoom conversations, onsite visits, and churchwide surveys—to help congregations identify barriers, uncover opportunities, and move with confidence into seasons of growth and renewal.
1:1 Pastoral Coaching – Personalized coaching for pastors who need a trusted voice to help them process challenges, clarify next steps, and stay encouraged in ministry.
Pastoral Counseling – We partner with a counselor who has years of pastoral experience and is specifically trained to provide counseling care for pastors. This offers a safe space for leaders to process personal or ministry-related struggles with someone who understands both the calling and the challenges of pastoral life.
Leadership Support – Practical guidance for church leaders in key areas such as governance, revitalization, pastoral health, and navigating transitions like mergers or leadership changes.

Why This Matters

The need for intentional church revitalization has never been greater:

• 80–85% of U.S. churches are plateaued or declining.
• 3,500–4,000 churches close each year, with 50–60 shutting their doors weekly.
• In one year alone, 4,500 Protestant congregations closed while only 3,000 new churches were planted.
• Less than half of American adults (47%) now belong to a house of worship, down from 70% in 2000.

But there is hope: Churches undergoing intentional revitalization efforts have seen a significant increase in attendance within three months—half of those new attendees hadn’t been to church in at least five years.
